The dates of conducting the III World Championship among juniors in Fire and Rescue Sport have been changed from 25-30 of July to 17-22 of July, 2012.

International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers (ISFFR) was founded in 2001 under the decision of the I International Conference of Fire and Rescue Services Chiefs by the initiative and with active involvement of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for civil defense, emergencies and elimination of consequences of natural disasters (EMERCOM of Russia).

The Minister of the Russian Federation for civil defense, emergencies and elimination of consequences of natural disasters Sergei Kuzhugetovich Shoigu was unanimously elected as the President of the ISFFR.

Today the Federation includes 19 countries and maintains its work with main goals of cooperation between firefighters and rescuers from different countries, for the international development of Fire and Rescue Sport and its advancement into the Olympic movement.

Every year the Federation conducts international competitions in Fire and Rescue Sport and exhibitions of firefighting and rescuing equipment. Also international conferences of high-ranked representatives of Fire and Rescue Services from different countries are regularly held.

Since 2002 the ISFFR has conducted 7 World Championships, 2 World Championships among juniors and 1 International Tournament among students in Fire and Rescue Sport.

In plans for 2012 there are the VIII World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sport in Turkey, the III World Championship among juniors in Latvia and the International Tournament among students in Bulgaria. And also several international competitions in Fire and Rescue Sport are to be conducted by other organizations with the support of the ISFFR.
