From May 21 to 26, 2018, the XXXI International Competitions in Fire and Rescue Sport in Memory of the Hero Firefighters of Chernobyl were held in Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine) at the sports facility of the Sports and Health Management Complex of the Administration of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
A total of 11 teams from 7 countries took part in the competitions (Ukraine, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Bulgaria (Varna), the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Moldova), as well as (not included in the team standings) the Republic of Croatia (women's team) and the Republic of Türkiye (as representatives), along with the strongest teams of Ukraine (Kyiv, Volyn region, Cherkasy Institute of Fire Safety, Lviv State University of Life Safety, Rivne region, Ivano-Frankivsk region).
Based on the results of all competition days in the overall standings, the prizes were distributed as follows:
1st place: Republic of Belarus
2nd place: Ukraine
3rd place: Kyiv
During the competitions, the highest achievement of Ukraine in the combat deployment discipline was set by the team of Volyn region – 26.4 s.
