This day symbolizes our unity, professionalism, and commitment to development not only in service but also in sport. It promotes friendship and international cooperation and fosters a positive image of firefighters and rescuers worldwide.

Over the years the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers has come a long way. The main goal of the International Federation is to unite fire and rescue services worldwide in the development of fire and rescue sport.

Currently, 35 countries are members of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers. This vast geography demonstrates that fire and rescue sport is rapidly developing and are confidently moving toward becoming an Olympic sport.

Fire and rescue sport is the only sport dedicated to saving lives.

Since 2002, 20 World Championships in fire and rescue sport and 26 International Conferences have been held in various countries.

Each event held by the International Fire and Rescue Sport Federation is a significant event for the professional firefighting and rescue community, providing a unique platform for sharing best practices in emergency response, demonstrating the latest firefighting and rescue equipment, and establishing direct contacts among colleagues from around the world.
